CHANSONGS – A Songwriters’ Rendezvous

Two Canadian singer-songwriters – one Francophone and one Anglophone – meet at the crossroads of Canadian music and culture. Curated and hosted by Dominique Denis of Alliance Française de Toronto, these bilingual evenings offer a blend of music, stories, language, and culture, with song craft at the core.

Presented in partnership with Alliance Française de Toronto, and in association with the Songwriters Association of Canada.

soozi schlanger starry nights house concert

On Saturday, April 28th, I have been invited to play a house concert for the Starry Nights Series at the family home of Sarah Hopen ( in the Ronsancevilles area).

The concert runs roughly between 8-10 pm. (that includes welcoming guests, imbibing, snacking, actual performance, post-show chatting and questions etc.)

A house concert  is a super casual and intimate venue. Unlike in a bar or a club, I will be singing my songs in a living room surrounded by listeners….there is no stage ….there are no special lights, there will be no amplification…and especially no distracting tv screens blaring/binking along with the songs…

This is a special venue where artist and listener share time and space  in a very unique way….in fact I hesitate to call it a ‘performance’…under the circumstances it is a shared event where you the listeners truly complete my experience of writing and singing my songs and telling my stories…sharing my secrets……just by being there….and by closely lending an ear….(or two)

There will be room for 28 guests max.
